On a recent trip to Finland, I became a Finn, or at least I felt like it.  I went ice fishing near Oulu Finland, ate reindeer meat (sorry Rudolph), went snowmobiling in Iso Syote, dog sledding, and tried snowshoeing on the Baltic Sea.   Of course my research wouldn’t be complete without trying a few Finnish drinks.  Read in German at:  Hundeschlittenfahren in Iso-SyöteSchneeschuhwandern am baltischen Meer in Oulu (Finnland), or Reisen wie die einheimischen Finnen

And Rudolph was actually his name.  Visit Rudolf in Oulu, Finland.

Cruising at top speed through the forests of Iso-Syöte in Finland got my heart racing, well OK, it wasn’t exactly at “top speed” but it was fast enough for me.  How fast have you gone on a snowmobile?

Love the bright colored buildings on Pikusaari Island in #Oulu, #Finland, would love to come home to this after snowshoeing on the Baltic Sea.
